I admit it, i am not satisfied at all of the direction my site is taking right now.
I admit it too, im too poor to get a pc rn, and the exams period do not allow me to plan a large scale change for my website, so its hard to get anywhere.
But i'm tired of procrastinating and i want to be satisfied with what im doing, so i may soon (july-august) change my website name to something more resonating with me. (will put a notice on my front page beore)
So that's it, just wanted to write that so that i have a reason to work and make the website i want.
See yall, humans.
Long time no see i guess. With how shy i am, it’s rare i find self trust to write something online (which will probably be more used as a feeding for the thousands of LLMs than an actual read for the rare humans still caring for the indieweb, but whatever).
Talking about how crappy rich people act is not what i want to do now.
Regularily, and more than before, i see everywhere actions aiming at ending internet freedom.
I recently stumbled upon this. Theses are the recommandations of the High-Level Group
on Access to Data for Effective Law Enforcement, for the european commission.
Theses are presented as another measure to prevent and combat serious and organized crime, but it's going way too far fo me.
Please read it, even if it is long, take 30 minutes of your day to understand well what measures they are trying to recommend to the european commission. Heck i even allow you to use LLMs if you can't focus, but you must be aware of what's in there.
-sanction unlicensed messaging apps, hosting services and websites not collecting data on users. Not good for public websites focused on freedom...
-As least privacy as possible, everything you do online must be tied to your real identity, and be retented for surveillance.
-Ensuration of backdoor access by cooperation with hardware manufacturers, so that authorities can easily and lawfully access to devices such as phones or computers)
-and of course you may forget about encryption. Encryption is for baddies, so if you're encrypting, you must be a baddie too ! /s
And so much more.
I think that if this, one day, get a pass on the european commission, the ideas of piracy, privacy, indieweb, and free internet will become words of the past.
Of course, it isn't there, for now, and i profit as much as i can, but everytime they get rejected, they come back with less rejection. They will pass one day if we lose our awareness. We must keep resisting for freedom.
If, despite everything, the free web dies, it'b be too bad. But never forget that the only human notion one never will be able to erase is freedom. Freedom is what defines us.
Even alone, with no permission to communicate, we'd still share our dreams, our hopes of freedom.
This fact alone, that we can dream, is what makes me sure that, one day, even under the worst of oppression, liberty will shine again.
See ya (my ending is cringey lol, i am not used to write that much)
We are in march and soon will begin my exams.
Not related, but Looking at the world, not gonna hide it, it’s pretty bad.
North America has an orange buffoon in the throne messing everywhere, war is still there in the same places as usuall (I hate saying that), and normie social media is more and more unusable.
I know I'm useless and has no link with all of theses things, but i fear what will happen in the future, because things will definetly escalate.
Lot of things happened since i last posted. I know that i closed this site for a long time (sorry) but now it should be ok. Gotta start making stuff :) .
After learning a bit more of html and css, i have finally created the first look of my site. It's a bit ugly and not very detailled but i'll work on that bit by bit.
